Walthon and Ramberg are merging to create a stronger law firm specialising in transactions, dispute resolution and insolvency

Walthon Advokater and Ramberg Advokater intend to merge at the turn of the year 2026/2027 to form Walthon Ramberg. The merger brings together two established law firms with complementary expertise and a shared vision of providing high-quality, client-focused advice. Walthon Ramberg will bring together around 40 lawyers and combine two practices focusing on transactions, dispute resolution and insolvency.

Walthon and Ramberg have complementary strengths in several key areas of business law. By bringing together specialist expertise in areas such as property law, labour law, company law, financing, capital markets law and commercial contracts, a broader base of expertise is created. This provides a better foundation for handling assignments where several areas of law intersect and for putting together specialist teams tailored to the client’s needs. At the same time, the personal approach that characterises both firms today will be retained, with close, long-term client relationships, accessible advisers and a strong commitment to every assignment. The merger also provides greater opportunities to continue investing in digital solutions.

“We share the same view of what constitutes high-quality advice. For both of us, it is about combining specialist legal expertise with a deep understanding of the client’s operations, business and challenges. Many of our client relationships have been developed over a long period and are based on our in-depth knowledge of the clients’ operations and our ability to provide support even as their needs change. This is a common foundation on which we will continue to build at Walthon Ramberg”, says Patrik Essehorn, Managing Partner, Walthon Advokater.

“The combination of top-level expertise, capacity and proximity will be the defining characteristics of Walthon Ramberg. Through this merger, we are uniting our specialist teams and gaining greater opportunities to bring together broad expertise on complex mandates, whilst retaining our personalised approach and close client relationships. Furthermore, we share the same view of what a lawyer should be to their client – a qualified legal adviser, but also a committed and long-term partner who dares to be closely involved in the business and say what needs to be said,” says Fredrika Skoog, Partner, Ramberg Advokater.
